Joulebox was born in 2008 as an outlet for my creative energy. I have been engaged in making other peoples products for 35 years in the Bay area Job Shop business. I founded Peridot Corporation (www.peridotcorp.com) in 1996 with my lovely, patient and talented partner Debra Van Sickle. I still maintain an active role in Peridot and will continue to do so.

Through my years in the Silicon Valley Job Shop world I met many artists, inventors and wacko visionaries who wanted to explore their ideas. It was often difficult to shoehorn their creative spark into the job shop mold which requires rigorous and at times rigid quality, schedule and procedural techniques. Joulebox has opened up an exciting world to me designing and creating art and functional items using the 35 years of industrial design and manufacturing experience I have garnered free from constraints.

I aspire to have a line of Lighting products, jewelry, furniture, housewares...the list is endless. I am fascinated with the concepts of DIY/MIY, mass customization and digital fabrication. Lasers, Rapid Prototyping machines, and CNC machining are all potential weapons in my quiver and readily at my disposal.

I am interested in pursuing collaboration with other artists and designers helping them realize their products and projects.
